Iraq Pleads for Aid as Mass Graves Reveal Horrors of Saddam's Regime

Iraq urged the world community to play an active role in rebuilding the war-shattered nation, as forensic experts revealed the horrors of the old regime at a mass grave filled with the bodies of kurds. The grave found by investigators in Northern Iraq contained around 120 bodies which were mostly woman and children. Deputy Prime MinisterBarham Saleh spoke at a donor conference and asked for more presence in Iraq from the U.N. and asked to waive the crushing debt accumalated by Suddam's regime. Saleh told the donors "We need more UN support and we need it now. Please don't let the Iraqi people down."
